Our Mission
Too many online calculators are built to generate ad clicks, not to help you make decisions. They show you a vague result and bury the methodology. CalcHub is different: every calculator shows you the full breakdown, explains the assumptions behind the math, and links to the primary sources we used — government databases, central bank publications, and peer-reviewed research.
We believe financial, health, and economic tools should be accessible to everyone regardless of their budget or background. That's why CalcHub is free, requires no login, and never stores the data you enter. Your mortgage numbers, your health metrics, and your business cost projections stay in your browser — they are never transmitted to our servers.
What We Build
CalcHub covers four domains where accurate calculation genuinely changes decisions:
Our Commitment to Accuracy
Every calculator on CalcHub is built around authoritative, regularly updated data sources. We don't make up default values — we cite them. Here's what that looks like in practice:
- Mortgage rates default to the weekly Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey (PMMS), updated each Thursday
- Electricity rates use the U.S. Energy Information Administration's monthly residential average, updated quarterly
- Inflation figures are sourced from the Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI release, updated monthly
- LLM API pricing is maintained against published provider pricing pages and updated within 30 days of any price change
- Import tariff rates are sourced from USTR Section 301 schedules and the USITC Harmonized Tariff Schedule, updated within 7 days of policy changes
- GLP-1 drug pricing is sourced from manufacturer list prices, pharmacy benefit disclosures, and GoodRx market data
When data changes — when the Fed moves rates, when a tariff schedule is revised, when a drug manufacturer adjusts list prices — we update the relevant calculator defaults and FAQ content to reflect the new reality. The "last updated" timestamp on each page tells you how current the data is.
Our Values
Transparency first
Every result includes a breakdown. We show you the formula, the assumptions, and the source data — not just an output number.
Privacy by design
All calculation happens in your browser. We never transmit the numbers you enter. No account, no signup, no data retention.
Primary sources only
We cite government databases, central banks, and academic research — not secondhand aggregators or opinion content.
Honest uncertainty
Where data is estimated or varies regionally, we say so. A calculator that overpromises precision does more harm than good.
How We Are Funded
CalcHub is funded through Google AdSense display advertising. Ads appear on calculator pages but never inside results or breakdowns — advertising placement is kept separate from the tools themselves so it does not influence what you see when you calculate.
We do not accept sponsored results, paid placements, or affiliate commissions that could influence calculator defaults or outputs. The numbers you see reflect our best reading of authoritative sources, not a financial relationship with a lender, insurer, or drug manufacturer.
Who We Are
CalcHub is an independent web publisher focused on practical financial and economic tools. We are not affiliated with any bank, brokerage, insurance company, pharmaceutical manufacturer, government agency, or AI provider. The calculators on this site are for informational and educational purposes; they do not constitute financial, medical, or legal advice.
For decisions with significant financial or health consequences, we encourage you to consult a licensed professional — a certified financial planner, a physician, or an attorney — in addition to using these tools.
